Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. However, her parents did not want her to pursue acting until she became older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry admitted that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began performing as a means to make friends during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry relocated in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California where she found theater work. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was presented at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared nine times in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she played an recurring role in her own ABC political thriller Scandal with her father. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. The character was picked via auditions the fact that she had a deep relationship with the show.
